This set of controls set basic cloud parameters.
Cloud plane. Clouds are generated from fractals, and these two values seed the fractal algorithms. Using the same values for each render will generate the same clouds each time. Change to random values to change the cloud formation.
The Cumulus to Stratus slider controls the height of the cloud layer. Cumulus are lower, Stratus higher.
Cloud Colours. These two colours are mixed to produce cloud effects. Generally set Light to a very light grey and Dark to a somewhat darker grey, but very dramatic effects can be produced by using darker values, or even colours.

GenesisIV Tutorial: Clouds |
| This simple dialog controls cloud formation. As with much else in GenesisIV, clouds are generated from fractals and can be changed in subtle, and not so subtle, ways. Normally a light cover of white/grey clouds at higher altitude works best when concentrating on landscape features, but don't be afraid to make changes to produce dramatic effects! | ||||||||||||||||||
