These graphics were created a couple of years ago to show the effects of progressive sea-level rises on the coastline of England and Wales. More detail versions of these have been used by the press to illustrate articles, and a more complex graphic for the whole of Great Britain and Ireland has recently been supplied to the WWF for publicity purposes. All graphics are copyright, but we are happy to licence these or bespoke images for publication. Please contact us for details.

Recent press articles have suggested that if the Antarctic polar ice-cap melts then the sea level rise will be 70 metres. Even in worst-case scenarios this won't be for quite a while yet, but out of interest we put some figures into our uk dataset and rendered some pseudo-satellite images. Click on the small images to see a larger version.
