Plugins

GenesisIV plugins extend the basic program to add new capabilities. Developers wishing to create there own plugins should download our Plugin SDK Development Kit. Full documentation is also available online.

All plugins have the .glg suffix (i.e. fractal.glg). To install a plugin simply copy the file to your GenesisIV plugins directory. Some plugins created by ourselves may also require you to download and install additional supporting files.

Fractal Landscape Generator


Download this plugin to generate fractal landscapes. You must also install the Borland common libraries to use this plugin.

VRML and TIN Export

Download this plugin to add VRML, TIN and OBJ export support to GenesisIV. This plugin generates a polygon-optimized ('tesselated') surface for realtime applications. You must also install the Borland common libraries to use this plugin.

Landscape Terraformer

Download this plugin to add simple terraforming functions to GenesisIV. Supports smooth, flatten, glaciate, canyonize, noise and hill/depression. You must also install the Borland common libraries to use this plugin.

GIS Vector Data Interface Plugins

Used to Import GIS shape data (polygons, lines, points etc.) into GenesisIV Enterprise. These are updated freeware versions of of original GIS interfaces which now use our full plugin SDK. Plugins available for MapInfo and ArcView. Source code available on request for any developers wishing to enhance these interfaces for their own installation or develop interfaces to alternative GIS systems.

UK SRTM Data Import

Download this plugin to import corrected UK SRTM data from Geomantics Data Services. This data has been geocorrected to OS National Grid format and processed to interpolate empty points and remove artifacts - particularly prevalent with sea level and coast. Plugin loads using OS National Grid Reference.

RAW Binary Import/Export

Download this plugin to import and export raw binary files. Supports both 16 and 32 bit integers. Raw binary files are useful for interfacing to programs such as Leveller and Vistapro.
