There are now a variety of programs available for rendering landscapes
ranging from old favorites such as Vistapro to Bryce and Terragen.
Whilst we'd like you to use GenesisIV, we recognize that each program
has it's own strengths and may be better suited for some tasks than
others.
GenesisIV's landscape definition tools have always been a strong
feature of the system and we get many requests to make these more
easily available for use with other programs. Landformer Pro is
our solution. This stand-alone program uses the Terragen .ter format
as it's native file format and offers all the landscape definition
features of GenesisIV in a focused package at a third of the price
of GenesisIV.
- Define landscapes from scratch using topographic maps
- Import data from graphics and digital terrain files
- Quickly manipulate and edit landscapes
- Use GenesisII plugins to enhance functionality. Plugin SDK available
for developers.
- Advanced hole filling for SRTM files - see our tutorial
to see why Landformer Pro gives the best results of any available
program

Landformer Pro interface. Note that in this zoomed
in view the heightfield is displayed in front of topographic map
so specific landscape changes can be made easily and accuratly.
