Project list: Shows the projects available in your database. Click on a project to select.

Project details: This shows setting information about your current project.

Project ID: Database ID of project (read only)

Name: The project's name

Info: Short description

Base Directory: The project's parent directory

Model Directory: Location for 3DS models

Vegetation Directory: Vegetation image and .ls files

Overlay Directory: Overlay, usually map, images

File Directory: Directory containing hotspot images and movie files

Splash Image: Splash image for the project (unused)

User Name: (unused)

Textured 3DS Models: Flag if project should draw 3DS models using textures

Project operations: New creates a new project using the Base (ID=0) project as template. Delete removes the current project, and Duplicate creates a new project using the current project as template.

The Scroll arrows can be used to move through projects as an alternative to selecting from the list.

GenesisIV uses a database to hold projects and their data, with ancilliary files, such as models and vegetation, held in separate folders. The Project Manager screen allows you to manage projects as well as selecting a project to view/edit. More information about the GenesisIV database is available in depth.

Addendum, new functions: The current version of GenesisIV adds Import and Export buttons to the above dialog. Export saves all project data and parameters to a single .db file, which may be subsequently loaded using the Import function. Import is available in all editions, but export is limited to the registered Professional and Enterprise editions only.
